about

I'm very excited to announce Emergence, which might be my first real album's album. I tried to avoid any filler, and keep things changing in the model of such albums as OK Computer, The Stone Roses, and Buffalo Springfield Again. It's another predominantly guitar based album, but I tried to allow in influences from every decade unlike my previous 60s obsessions. There's something here for everyone, provided everyone likes spaced out computer rock.

Influences for Emergence included: White Fence, Yuck, Real Estate, Tame Impala, Thee Oh Sees, T Rex, Beck, The New York Dolls, Joy Division, The Pixies, Radiohead, The Velvet Underground, Spacemen 3, Bookwerm, Vermillion City, The Rolling Stones, James Brown, The Flaming Lips, Yo La Tengo, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead, the Beatles, Happy Mondays, The Beach Boys, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Syd Barrett, the Stone Roses, Sonic Youth, Link Wray, Soft Machine, Kevin Ayers, Nico
