I spent around a year working on the album that eventually became 'Letters to Burn', which I'm proud to announce is the first MH release out on hard copy. If you're interested in that, or just good music in general, check out Fallbreak Records (fallbreakrecords.com/releases/letters-to-burn/). You can also get my album on iTunes, or on this bandcamp page in a few weeks from now.

Compiled here are the various outtakes, B-sides, and reworked versions that a year of struggle produced. Good, bad, or wrong, they're all mine. I'm posting them to sort of commemorate a period in my own life, and also to share what I consider to be the best of what didn't make it onto the actual LP, for one reason or another. Despite not making the final track listing, I vouch for every single track on this comp. I put as much work -in some cases more - into these songs as I did on any that made the album.



I will upload the finished 'Letters to Burn' LP once enough time has passed for everyone who's gonna buy it to do so. Should be a few weeks or so.


At the time of writing most of these tracks, I was heavily into the following bands: Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers, a few different Surf and Tropicalia Compilations, the Ramones, Amon Duul II, Blue Cheer, Morgen, The Stooges, Wire, Sonic Youth, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, Ty Segall, White Fence, Mikal Cronin, and Public Image Ltd.
